Burt Lee MacGregor, 71, of Chippewa Lake, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at his home. He was born on January 27, 1943 in Lansing to John E. and Isabella A. (Hubble) MacGregor. While residing in Lansing, where he raised his children, he was employed for the City of Lansing as an electrician. In 1994 Burt moved to Chippewa Lake where he met Vicki L. McMullen. They were married on April 13, 1996 and have one son. Burt enjoyed hunting, playing poker, flannel shirts, horseshoes, and playing spoons. He was a U of M fan, loved Detroit Tigers and Packers football. A meal wasn't considered "good" without chocolate pie. Burt's family will hold the memories of a fun loving man who was the first to pick on you if you fell asleep forever in their hearts. Burt is survived by his wife; Vicki of Chippewa Lake; four children, Darin (Linda) of Chippewa Lake, Betsy (Michael) Bailey of Eaton Rapids, Rob Roy (Beth) of Prudenville and Teddy Lee of Chippewa Lake; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren with one on the way and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Burt was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Dave, James, and Ruth Jones. A Celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Chippewa Lake Community Building (19171 4th Street). Cremation and care have been entrusted to the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton.
