Buddy D. Rivera, age 54, passed away from complications of Systemic Lupus on Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Grand Rapids. He was born March 3, 1969 in Ogden, Utah, the son of David and Mary (Martinez) Rivera. Buddy enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. He had a passion for sports and loved to watch any on television but mostly took pleasure in football, basketball, and baseball. Buddy was the funny one in the family and always the life of the party. His humor and laughter will be missed by many. Buddy is survived by his children, Alisha (Steven) Hongsyvilay, Diego (Cassidy) Rivera, Mario Rivera, all of Ogden, Utah; mother, Mary (Dan) Hinkley of Big Rapids; grandchildren, Bently, Ethan, Kezlynn, and Ryker; brothers, David and Dan Rivera, many nieces, nephews; and beloved dog, Browny.
