WHELP, HERES A JOB OPENING:| | | | | |V V V V V V *As Brian would say reading the obits :)* Brian J. Ostroske, age 46, a longtime resident of Big Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 11, 2018. He was born June 9, 1972, the son of Anthony Ostroske and Marie Morris. Brian married Shannon Porter on June 19, 2002. He was currently employed by LC Materials as a mixer truck driver. Brian enjoyed spending time with his family and annoying his wife, because he loved how cute she looked when she was mad :). He will be remembered for his sense of humor and being a complete pain in the butt at times :), but most of all for the love he had for his wife and children. Brian will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Shannon Ostroske of Big Rapids; five children, Mariah (Eric) VanDam of Muskegon, Steven Ostroske of Barryton, Halie Holbrook of Big Rapids, Jack Ostroske of Big Rapids, and Aaron Ostroske of Big Rapids; mother, Marie Jordan of Big Rapids; sister, Laurie (Brian) Remus of Cheboygan; half-brother, Dean Arnold of North Carolina; mother and father-in-law, Sharon (Rick) Frederick of Big Rapids; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Brian was preceded in death by his father, step-father Donald Williams, and grandparents. A memorial service will take place 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Norwich Township Hall, 7213 North Cypress Road, Big Rapids, MI 49307, with Dave Watkins officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:30 pm until the time of service (at 3 pm) at the Hall on Sunday. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family will accept contributions towards a college fund for Jack and Aaron. Memorial contributions may be made in Brians name to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
