Brandon M. Mullett, age 36 of Big Rapids, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at home after a battle with cancer. He was born in Grand Rapids on August 10, 1985, the son of Gary and Tina (Beekman) Mullett. Brandon was a 2004 graduate of Grandville High School. He then earned a Landscaping Certificate from Michigan Career and Technical Institute in Kalamazoo. In 2004 he met Tina Roberts and they were married on September 10, 2016. They made their home in Grand Rapids before moving to Big Rapids. Brandon was a hard worker, which he learned from his dad. He was an outdoorsman; he fished, hunted, played slow pitch softball and roller hockey. Brandon was a video gamer and looked forward to a good slushie. He was a University of Michigan fan, Detroit Lions and Red Wings. Brandon also enjoyed competing in Fantasy Football. He is survived by his wife, Tina Roberts-Mullet of Big Rapids; his parents, Gary and Tina Mullett of Florida; two brothers, Ryan (Chris) Mullett of Hudsonville; Sean Mullett of Florida; mother-in-law, Julie (Jeff) Backowski of Wyoming, Michigan; father-in-law, Paul Roberts of Missouri; one niece on the way; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents and cousin Katrina Oudbier. A Celebration of Life will be planned in the Spring.
