Bonita F. VanAlstine, age 73 of Stanwood, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at home. She was born March 16, 1944 in Remus, the daughter of Frank H. and Mary M. (Fountain) Randall. Bonita made her home in Mecosta County the majority of her life. She was employed by Wolverine World Wide in Big Rapids.

Bonita was a beloved mother and grandmother; she is survived by her daughter, LeAnn Joy (Herb) Brigham of Stanwood; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Lintemuth of Mecosta; three brothers, James (Nancy) Randall of Paris, Ronald "Ike" (Nancy) Randall of Remus, and John Melson of California; many nieces and nephews.

Bonita was preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter, Dakoda Ja Cook; a sister JoAnn Boerma Bartell; and a brother, Lewie Randall.

A memorial gathering, with the family greeting friends, will take place Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
