Bonita "Bonnie" Lu (Bellingar) (Nyhus) Orweller, age 74, of Mecosta passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at her home. She was born on March 1, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Leo and Dorothy (Youngs) Bellingar. On March 24, 1957 Bonnie married Milton G. Nyhus Sr. in St. John. Together they had two sons Milton G. Nyhus Jr. and Steven L. Nyhus. Following Milton's passing in 1964 Bonnie married Robert Orweller, on August 27, 1965 in Elsie. Bonnie and Robert had one son Raymond R. Orweller. Bonnie and Bob resided in Clinton Co. before making their home at Tubbs Lake in 1982. Bonnie enjoyed suduko puzzles, crocheting, knitting and frequent trips to the casino. She loved to cook and was good at it. Bonnie is survived by her husband Bob; three sons, Milton, Steven and Raymond; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren whom she loved spending time with; 1 brother, 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Cremation has taken place and a memorial luncheon is being planned for a later date. Memorial donations in Bonnie's name can be made to Heartland Hospice in Fremont or the Mecosta Senior Center.
