Billie Eugene Tice, a lifelong resident of Barryton, passed away Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility in Mt. Pleasant, at the age of 76. On May 13, 1932 Billie was born in the same house he would live and raise his family in to Henry and Jennie (Welling) Tice. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force as a staff sergeant following the Korean War. Billie is survived by his loving children: Brian (Carol) Tice of Mt. Pleasant, Ronda Lynch of Barryton, Chrisann Merchant of Sulphur Springs, Texas, seven grandchildren: Melissa (Mike) Croll, Kerrie Tice, William Tice, Isaac Green, Rebecca Merchant, Keith Neumann, one great-grandson Brody, beloved sister Noreen Argue and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Billie was preceded in death by his beloved wife and friend Carolyn on January 1, 2008, four brothers: Donald, Harold, Clinton and Melvin and sister: Kathleen McCall. Memorial contributions in Billie's memory would be preferred to the American Heart or Lung Association. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
