Betty J. Scott, age 79, of Lake/Barryton passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in Clare. She was born on May 17, 1934 in Toledo, OH to Abraham and Mamie (Curre) Krabill. Betty was an active member of the Lake Eagles Aerie #3761 and Clare Moose Lodge #2268. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting and hanging out with family and friends. Betty is survived by 7 children; Yvonne (Charles) Hart of Tulsa, OK, Alan (Dina) Scott of Morley, MI, Bruce (Kelee) Scott of Lake, MI, Janice Scott of Hixson, TN, Kevin Scott of WI, Heather (Kenny) Jenkins and Melissa Scott both of Show Low, AZ; 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings, Robert (Colleen) Krabill of Lake, MI, Erma (Ralph) Forbes of Mecosta, MI; Duewayne Krabill of Lake George, MI, and Margaret (Bill) Geyer of Freeland, MI; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and two sons Randy and Quentin Scott. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Eagles in Lake.
