Betty Mae Biller age 80, of Paris, passed away on June 4, 2010 at her home with loved ones at her side. She was born on July 26, 1929 in Bitely, Michigan to Anthan and Francis (David) Thomas. On February 22, 1947, she married Kenneth R. Biller at her parent's home, in Bitely, with her Uncle Rev. Archie Cross officiating. While living in Big Rapids Betty and Ken began purchasing and building on their property in Paris. The family made Paris their home around 1948 where they have resided ever since. Betty was a homemaker working on and off as needed throughout the years. She retired at age 62 from Wolverine World Wide in Big Rapids where she had been a seamstress. Following retirement she began volunteering with R.S.V.P as an aide, for the last 19 years, in her daughter's classroom at Stanwood Elementary. Betty was an active member of the Big Rapids Assembly of God. She was a former Sunday school teacher, worship leader, soloist and with hands open would assist where needed. Betty lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed every bit of it. Although she didn't get the opportunity to travel as often as she might have liked, she did take two memorable trips to Hawaii. She was eager to learn, an avid reader and gardener, great cook, crossword and T.V. enthusiast and wonderful seamstress. Betty was actively involved with family events and there was nothing she loved better than the birth of a new baby. She put her family first and took pride in all that they have accomplished. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Kenneth Biller of Paris, four children; David (Pamela) Biller of Coopersville, James (Linda) Biller of Big Rapids, Norma "Jane" (Mark) Rozier of Paris and Daniel (Margo) Biller of Holland, one brother Ora Thomas of Baldwin, sister-in-law Dorothy Thomas of Muskegon, 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, infant children; Arthur and Terri Jean Biller, daughter-in-law Peggy Biller, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services for Betty will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Kris Richardson officiating. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8th and one hour prior to the service (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.) on Wednesday at the funeral home.
