Betty M. Anderson, age 83 of Morley, passed away Monday, January 19, 2009 at her home. She was born July 9, 1925 in Morley to Grant and Mary (Wilcox) Deyo. Betty graduated as president of her class from Morley High School. She married Lewis Anderson on November 23, 1946. Betty and Lewis operated a farm in Morley and the Sinclair "" Arco Service Station in Stanwood for many years. Betty also worked with her brother Frank Deyo at his store "Frank's Sporting Goods" in Morley. She was a member of the Morley American Legion Post # 554 Ladies Auxiliary. Betty is survived by her loving family whose members include; 3 children; Kathie (Russ) Detloff of Swartz Creek, Philena J. Stine of Morley, Lewis John (Catherine) Anderson of Hastings, Step-daughter, Linda (Charles) Baisch of Grosse Point Park 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren sister-in-law, Eleen J. Hall of Morley and many loving nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis H Anderson on September 14, 2008, a son, Michael Allen "Mickey" Anderson, a grandson, Daniel Anderson, a great-grandson, Jimmy McShane, a brother Frank Deyo, 7 sisters, Blanche Deyo, Lillian Wright, Lulu Nelson, Dorothy Deyo, Edna Deyo, Alice Burchfield, Annie Deyo and a son-in-law, Bernard "T.D." Stine. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22nd at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Philip Bongard officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 21st from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Spring interment will be at the Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley. Memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to the Morley American Legion Post # 554 Ladies Auxiliary.
