Bettie Jean Anderson, age 84 of Stanwood, Michigan passed away on October 12, 2024. She was born July 6, 1940 in Lansing, Michigan to Ward and Helen (Jenks) Daggett. She married David H Anderson on June 18, 1960 and they were married for 63 years until his passing in 2023. Bettie graduated from Lansing Sexton High School in 1958 and attended Michigan State University. In addition to being a wonderful mother, she worked for Edward Jones, Big Jackson Schools and Hospice of West Michigan. More importantly, she lovingly opened her heart and home to numerous individuals and affected their lives in a positive way. She was preceded in death by beloved husband David, son Scott Anderson of Stanwood and her parents. Bettie is survived by son Ward (Debbie) Anderson of Stanwood, daughter Kathlyn Hector of Norton Shores and grandchildren Jennifer (Jordan) Marincel of DeWitt, Eric (Audrey) Anderson of Nottingham, Maryland, Kyle (Erin) Anderson of St. Johns and Maya and Emma Hector of Norton Shores and 5 great-grandchildren Brooklyn, EJ, Emrey, Aiden, Addy and also extended family Todd (Teresa) Sabo of Comstock Park and Donna Bauer of Big Rapids. Bettie requested that no services be held. Her family extends their gratitude to Corewell Hospice and the staff at Big Rapids Fields for their attentive care.
