Bette M. Howe age 92, a longtime resident of Morley, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Spectrum Butterworth in Grand Rapids. She was born August 19, 1923 in Lansing, the daughter of Claude and Beulah (Berkhousen) Taber.
Bette was actively involved in her community. She was member of the Mecosta County R.S.V.P. and a member of the Luther Bible Chapel of Morley.
Bette is survived by three daughters, Susan Dulaney of Morley, Victoria Butler of Stanwood, Brenda Smith of Howard City; two sons, Ed Howe Jr. of Howard City, Bill (Sandra) Howe of Stanwood; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Alice, Deanna, Marlene, Christine; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a great-granddaughter, three sisters and one brother.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Luther Bible Chapel in Morley with Pastor David Bongard officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to "R.S.V.P." (Retired Senior Volunteers Program) at 14485 Northland Drive, Big Rapids, MI 49307
