Obituary

Bernard I. Losey, age 81 of Morley, passed away Monday, April 30, 2007. He was born July 14, 1925 in Weidman to Filles and Thelma (Thompson) Losey. Bernard was honorable discharged from the United States Army serving during World War II in the European Theater. Following the service he returned to Weidman and went into farming. Bernard married Chrystal Tindle on March 19, 1949 in Remus. In 1958 he moved his family to Kent City. Bernard worked as a mechanic for Denton Chevrolet in Cedar Springs, retiring after 28 years of service. Bernard has made his home in Morley since 1972. He is survived by: Two sons "" Martin Losey of Newaygo Darrel W. Losey of Morley A daughter "" Tammy (Brian) Huey of Gaylord A brother "" Raymond (Geraldine) Losey of St. Louis, MI Two sisters "" Bonnie (Ralph Shanteau) Mrazek of Blanchard Carol (Ken) Beaty of Shepherd Aunt "" Lowella Miller of Big Rapids Four grandchildren, one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews Besides his parents, Bernard was preceded in death by his wife Chrystal, in 1995, and two sisters, Bernice Champlin and Rozella Mullens. Funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Philip Bongard officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be at Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley.
