Barton T. Myers, 90, of Remus passed away September 2, 2010 at Cedar Crest A.F.C. Home. Bart was born on December 14, 1919 in Detroit, MI to Omar and Sylvia (Reese) Myers. He married Jane Self in Detroit on June 19, 1940 and they made their home in the Royal Oak and Detroit areas before moving to Remus 5 years ago. Bart was an avid photographer and the former president and member of the Detroit Stereograph Society. Bart is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years Jane of Remus; five children, Greg (Kristin) Myers of Berkley, MI, Patricia Myers of Van Buren, MS, Michele (Thomas) Johnson of Coupeville, WA, Lucille "Lucy" (Roger) Bailey of Remus and Claudia (Mary Graham) Myers of Trumansburg, NY, one brother Allen Myers of Roscommon, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Bart was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Barbara. Cremation has taken place through the care of Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Private services are being planned for a later date.
