Barbara E. Marek, age 69, died Monday, June 27, 2022 in Grand Rapids. She was born January 16, 1953 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Jack and Barbara (Conte) Powers.

Barb was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping with her family at School Section Lake. She loved tending to her flower garden. Barb's biggest passion in her life was her family. She adored her grandchildren with everything inside of her. Barb was a feisty woman, but she was a loving and caring person who would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Tony Marek; children, Sherry (Scott) Sembach, Joseph Miesiaczek, John Miesiaczek, Linda Sanford, Chris Marek, Dustin Marek; mother, Barbara Powers; siblings, Patty Mcelfresh, Laura (Pete) Brown, John (Melissa) Powers, Jimmy Powers, Tim (Jackie) Powers, Jackie (Pat) Doman, Tammy Cross; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Barb was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Young and father, Jack Powers.
