Ashley M. (Cole) Cottle, age 22 of Big Rapids, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids. She was born June 24, 1988 in Lakeview, the daughter of Tim and Julie (Evans) Cole. She graduated from Crossroads High School in 2006 and was going to complete her Child Development Associates this summer. Ashley was working through the ISD in the Just 4's Preschool Program at Crossroads this year and at Stanwood Elementary last year. She was involved in the Mothers of Preschoolers and was enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program at Ferris. Ashley loved working with children and her goal in life was to teach at a children's hospital. Ashley and her husband Joey met in Mexico on a mission trip at the age of 13 and developed a friendship throughout high school. They later fell in love and were married July 28, 2007 in Lakeview. Together Ashley and Joey attended Resurrection Life Church in Big Rapids and were active with the Worship Team while serving as leaders at Elevate College Ministry. She especially loved music and singing. Some of Ashley's favorite bands were Addison Road, Hillsong, Becca Shey, Lady Gaga, Rhiana and country music. Her favorite flowers were tulips and orchids. She adored her entire family - her loving husband Joey and her joyful 4-month-old daughter Olivea. Ashley is survived by her husband Joey and her daughter Olivea Cottle of Big Rapids; her parents Tim and Julie Cole of Stanwood; 2 sisters Caitlin Cole of Stanwood and Trista Kirk of Oklahoma; her grandparents Patricia Evans of Stanton and James and Patricia Cole of Six Lakes; her mother and father""in""law Joe and Ann Cottle of Big Rapids; a sister-in-law Brittany Cottle of Big Rapids; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Ashley was preceded in death by her grandfather Chester Evans. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Resurrection Life Church in Big Rapids with Pastor Tony Karns officiating. The family will greet friends at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids on Tuesday, May 17th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Highland View Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Ashley's name to ease the expenses her family may incur during this time.
