Obituary

Our beloved husband, father and friend, Arthur Earl Cooper, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at home in Barryton, at the age of 73. He was born in Scarborough, England on April 3, 1945 to Leo and Dorothy (Randall) Cooper. Arthur and his family moved to the United States when he was one year old. Art married Kathryn A. Cramton on July 11, 1965 in North Parma, MI and they raised their family in the Jackson area prior to moving to Barryton in 2010. Art was employed by and retired from Salco Engineering and Manufacturing in Jackson. He was proud of his tenure and contributions to the company. Art was a caring man whose biggest interests were cars and woodworking. He looked forward to attending church on Sundays at the Chippewa Lake Community Church. Art is survived by his wife of 53 years Kathy; one son, Christopher (Elizabeth) Cooper; one daughter, Coriee (Timothy) Alley; four grandchildren, Heaven (Sean) Sigler, Michael (Hannah) McCormick, Michael Alley and Matthew (Caitlynn) McCormick; five great-grandchildren, Molly and Kallie Sigler, Emmerson Alley, Macielynn and Everly McCormick and one baby great-granddaughter on the way. Art was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Dorothy and a grandson Thomas McCormick. His family will greet friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019, at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Albion, MI.
