Ardith M. "Ardy" Johnson, age 87 of Big Rapids, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at the Royal View Retirement Community. She was born May 26, 1931 in Stanwood the daughter of Henry and Lucille (Cline) Hall. Ardy was a 1949 graduate of Big Rapids High School and later worked in their cafeteria; she also worked at the Ferris State University Bookstore and at Big Rapids Products, until her retirement. Ardy enjoyed quilting, bowling, playing golf and spending time at Loon Lake. She is survived by her three sons, Steven (Rosalyn) Jorgensen, Larry (Nichole) Jorgensen, Greg (Diana) Jorgensen all of Big Rapids; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; a brother, Robert (Donna) Hall of Six Lakes, many nieces and nephews. Ardy was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Eyvin Jorgensen Jr. and Bernard "Bernie" Johnson; sisters and their husbands, Theda (Herm) Wassing and Jalene (Robert) Fettig and her brother and his wife, William (June) Hall. Services will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions in Ardys name may be given to Royal View Assisted Living.
