Anna Fay Miles, 84 of Remus, died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Masonic Pathways in Alma. She was born October 30, 1921 in Ellsworth, MI to George Alfred and Marie Emma (Poppe) Nelson. Anna was a secretary at Clark Equipment Co. and Wolverine Insurance Co. in Battle Creek, for many years. She graduated from East Jordan High School and the Lewis-Chapin School of Business in Traverse City. Anna enjoyed raising her family, cooking and sewing. She has also lived in Mecosta and Big Rapids. She is survived by her son Thomas (Sharon Brignall) Miles of Richland; daughter JoAnn (Larry) Fiedler of Midland; twin-sister Minnie (Ken) Howes of Grand Rapids; sister Bernice VanDellen of Beaver Island; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the United Methodist Church, 201 Fourth Street in East Jordan, with the Reverend D. Michael Maurer officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Inurnment will be at the Lakeside Cemetery, East Jordan. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may want to consider their favorite charity or Masonic Pathways in Alma.
