Anna Mae McDonald, age 80 of Big Rapids and Elk Rapids, passed away Tuesday November 13, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Ann made her home in the Houghton Lake and Roscommon areas for many years. She held several different jobs during her working years including, Roscommon Township Clerk, Roscommon County Clerk and as office manager for the Roscommon Herald Newspaper. Ann is survived by her loving family including three sons; Michael (Cathy) Litrenta of Paris, MI with 4 children; Keith, Michael, Jamie and Matthew; John (John Shepherd) Litrenta of Kewadin, MI; Adolph "Andy" (Mary) Litrenta of Enfield, CT with three children; Lisa, Abigail and Angela; five great-grandchildren; brother John (Jean) Miller of Floral, AK , brother Wellington C."Bill" (Laurel) Miller of Hastings, MI; brother-in-law, Don Gearhart of Vanderbilt, MI, several nieces and nephews and loving canine "Yorkie" companion Charley. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband D. Keith McDonald and a sister Patricia R. Gearhart. Private family services are being planned.
