Andrew L. "Andy" Cederquist, age 40 of Barryton formerly of Montague, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 15, 2018 due to a heart attack. He was born on March 25, 1978 in Shelby, the son of Gary and Mary (Jackson) Cederquist. Andrew graduated from Montague High School in 1996 and attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids. He was employed by Equity Transportation and Midland Engine before starting his current job with Wade LaLone Trucking. Andy was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, Whitehall Troop 1048, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. He also held the position of the Vice Chief and Chief with the Order of the Arrow in Boy Scouts. Andy was the Master of the Lodge for the John Q. Look Lodge 404 before it combined with the Warren Masonic Lodge 427. He was a volunteer with the Barryton Community Fire Department. Andy collected Wheel Horse Tractors and Massey Harris Tractors and liked vegetable gardening. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Andrew is survived by his parents, Gary and Mary Cederquist of Remus; two sisters, Annie (Jamey) Ross of Saginaw and Amy (John) Meinhardi of Mesick; brother, Aaron Cederquist; nephew, Turner Ross; niece, Rylee Ross; grandmother, Sara Jackson of Manistee; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and his loving basset hound, Oscar. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21st at the Funeral Home with a Masonic Service being held at 7:00 p.m. Andrew will be laid to rest at East Fork Cemetery in Barryton.
