Ancil Harvey Sanger, age 79, resident of Barryton, was born October 29, 1932, in Tifton, Georgia to the late Dick and Nellie (Swilley) Sanger. He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 12, 2012. Ancil grew up in Barryton on the family farm. He honorably served our country during the Korean War as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. He was a lifelong learner and enjoyed fishing, southern cooking and gardening. His family was his greatest joy! Ancil is survived by his devoted and beloved companion Letty Wilson of Barryton; brothers: Bruce (Sherry) Sanger of Barryton, Robert (Ellen) Sanger of Texas; sister: Marjorie Golden of St. Louis; four daughters: Dana Sanger of Weidman, Michele (John) Linnen of Big Rapids, Tanny (Tom) Baumann of Mt. Pleasant, Valorie (Clarence) Crowell of Wheeler; nine grandchildren: Ryan (Stacey) Adams, Nathan (Heather) Adams, Brandon Adams, Collin Grunst, Ashley (Moises) Gallegos, Morgan Baumann, Eric Baumann, Lena and Lydia Crowell; four great-grandchildren: Logan, Ainsley, Regan and Blake Adams and many extended family members. Ancil was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Nellie (Swilley) Sanger and his loving brother, Troy Sanger. Ancil will be greatly missed by his friends and family. He touched their lives with kindness, generosity and too many other ways to mention. Friends and family are invited to attend a Christian funeral and burial for Ancil at the Barryton Community Free Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Thomas Doherty officiating. The family will receive friends at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations to be sent to the Barryton Community Free Methodist Church.
