Alvin "John" Latham, 73, of Lake passed away Monday evening May 14, 2007 at Tendercare of Mt. Pleasant. Alvin was born April 14, 1934 to Gerald and Laura (Sheldon) Latham in Lake, MI where he resided his entire life and raised his family with his late wife Bettie. He was a laborer on the pipeline and member of Local 1098. Alvin is survived by three loving children Ronny (Ann) Latham, Susan (David) Davy and Bill (Debra) Latham all of Weidman. Thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren that brought joy to his life. Two sisters: Geraldine Olger and Jeanette Hard, two brothers: Chelsea (Mazie) Latham, Charles (Ardeen) Latham, sister-in-law Diane Latham and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Alvin was preceded in death by his wife Bettie in 1976, children John, Robert, and Martin, great grandson Desmond, brother James Latham, brothers-in-law Dewey Olger and William Hard.
