Allen E. "Al" Moran Jr., age 64 of Big Rapids, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 18, 1955, in Fremont, the son of Allen Sr. and DeVona (Smart) Moran. Al married Glenna Little on April 18, 1993, in Big Rapids where they made their home. Al was a talented woodworker; he made personal gifts for his family and friends. He enjoyed Dirt Track Racing and RC Racing. Al liked to fish, draw, and drink Mountain Dew. He loved spending time with his family. Al is survived by his wife of 26 years, Glenna Moran of Big Rapids; seven children, Jodi (Mike) Wood of Lake Odessa, Chad (Jennifer) Gunn of Big Rapids, Justina (Michael) Games of Big Rapids, Cassandra (Travis) Rollston of Fremont, Christina (Christopher) Anderson of Paris, Homer (Dawn) Bailey of Big Rapids, and Wendy (Brian) Burlingham of Kalamazoo; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his father, Allen Moran Sr. of Florida; three siblings, Carl (Marie) Moran of Florida, Diana Hancock of Nevada, and Cheryl (Gera) Martin of Nevada; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, son Raymond James White, and granddaughter Sophia Games. A memorial service will take place 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
