Albert L. Huff, age 77 of Big Rapids, passed away on August 28, 2011. He was born on April 28, 1934 in Grand Rapids to Lynn and Alberta (Quackenbush) Huff. Albert was honorably discharged from the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a Civil War enthusiast, enjoyed sailing and was a former Boy Scout leader. Albert was a member of the South High School Varsity Club (athletic assoc.) in Grand Rapids and had been attending Trinity Fellowship Church in Big Rapids for the last 6 years. Albert will be deeply missed by the family he adored and always looked forward to seeing. He is survived by his children: Arlene (Gene) Renico of Belmont, MI, Michael (Sue) Huff of Laconia, NH and Daniel (Betty Jo) Huff of Sturgis, SD; two sisters Lynda Huff and Kay (Bill) Hennon, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Albert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother and three sisters. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. August 30th at North Kent Bible Church located at 7210 Courtland Drive N.E. in Rockford, with the family greeting friends one hour prior, from 6 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations in Albert's name can be made to Guiding Light Mission at 255 Division Ave. South, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
