Agnes Griffin, 49, of Big Rapids, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025.

She was born on May 1, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Major Hentz and Frankie Griffin. Agnes worked for FairPlay in Chicago for 20 years before moving to the Big Rapids area, where she became a valued member of the Meijer team. Her personality could light up a room, and brought warmth and kindness to everyone she encountered.

After moving to Michigan, she embraced the quiet, slower-paced life, cherishing time spent with her family and friends. She had a passion for cooking, especially for the holidays. Though known for her kind and caring nature, Agnes was also a sassy and feisty woman, never afraid to stand her ground. Above all, her greatest love was her son, and she devoted herself and her life entirely to him.

Agnes is survived by her son: Damari Thomas; Siblings: Major Griffin, Debbie Griffin, Marvin Hentz, and Renee Griffin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
