Agnes E. Deal, age 79 of Big Rapids, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at her home. She was born July 16, 1934 in Branch County the daughter of Mark and Susan (Holland) Hatmaker. Agnes married John A. N. Tuttle Sr. and together they had a family of four sons; Mark Tuttle of Paris, MI, John A. N. (Kay) Tuttle Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Dr. Pastor Ricky (Robin) Tuttle of Newaygo and Rodney (Mavis) Tuttle of Cannon Falls, MN. She then married Richard E. Deal on February 9, 1968 in Comstock Park and they had two children; Bernadette "Bunny" (Ron) Fuller of Big Rapids and Edward (Sheila) Deal of North Pole, Alaska; they also shared two step-children; Tim Deal and Debbie Jo (Dale) Anderson, all of Tucson, AZ. Agnes moved to Muskegon in 1971 and then to Big Rapids in 1975. She was a mother, a home maker, a caregiver, a scout mother and even a brownie leader. She loved to read and hang out with her grandkids. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands John A. N. Tuttle Sr. and Richard Deal; a sister, Anna Riegan and a granddaughter, Veronica Anderson. She is survived by all of her children and step-children; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister, Alice Dekker of Muskegon; one niece and many nephews. The family of Agnes E. Deal invites everyone to celebrate her life at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Grace Calvary Church (the corner of Oak and State Streets in Big Rapids).
