Adele D. (Erdman) Johansen, age 91 of Chippewa Lake, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital. She was born May 26, 1922. Adele graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1940. She married Robert Johansen in 1948 and together they raised their family in Holland and Chippewa Lake. Adele enjoyed bead work, ceramics and plastic canvas. Adele loved spending time with her family. She is survived by three children, Kurt (Glenda) Johansen of Chippewa Lake, Coral (Charles) Bonham of Chippewa Lake and Rick Johansen of Barryton; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and in-laws. Adele was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert on October 21, 1983. Funeral services will take place 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29th at the funeral home.
