Alden "Gene" Fifield, age 66 of Barryton, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2007 at his home with family at his side. He was born June 19, 1941 in Barryton to Floyd and Lorena (Shook) Fifield. Gene married MaryJane Donaldson June 5, 1961. He enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was able. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Mary of Barryton beloved daughter Letha (Bernerd "Pete" ) Myers of Lake Three grand daughters who adored their Grandfather: June Myers and her friend Mark Yeager, Jamie Myers and Jennifer and husband Troy Shull, Six great-grandchildren who will miss their great grandpa dearly: Joshua, Jordan, Aaron, Jonathan, Faith and Amanda, two brothers; Dewane and Lloyd (Dora) Fifield and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers; Floyd and William and three sisters; Bonnie, Donna and Mary Lou. Funeral services for Gene will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20th at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with the family greeting friends one hour prior.
