Alida I. "Lynn" Bumstead, age 70 of Barryton, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes, on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at home. Lynn was born on August 6, 1947 in Rochester, New York to Charles and Ruth (Flagler) Ross. Lynn raised her family in the Detroit area and married John Oliver Bumstead on October 30, 1998 in Winchester, VA. John and Lynn made their home in Detroit before moving to Barryton in 2001.

Lynn enjoyed crocheting, reading and online games especially Pogo. She looked forward to the holidays and special events where she could share the memorable memes she found with family and close friends. Lynn had a great sense of humor and above all adored her fur babies, Sexy Girl and Diesel.

Lynn is survived by four children: Mike (Tawny) Maciejewski of Barryton, Matthew (Kelly) Maciejewski of Garden City, Marnie (Mike) Parrish of Fraser, Mitchell (Kori) Maciejewski of Clare; one brother, Jesse (Gail) Ross; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step family, extended family and friends, who she loved deeply and always looked forward to seeing. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 2013; a son, Eric Bumstead in 2011 and life partner of 21 years, Roger Karpinski.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Barryton Community Building (20 Mile Road, West of town).

Memorial donations in Lynns name can be made to the ASPCA (Animal Cruelty).
